Privacy Policy
Last updated: January 2026. This page explains what information Farmora Living collects, how we use it, and what choices you have.
The short version
We are a small editorial journal. We do not sell your data, we do not run intrusive ad networks, and the only personal information we actively collect is your email address when you choose to subscribe to our Saturday newsletter. Anything else is what most websites passively collect through standard analytics.
What we collect
Information you give us directly
- Newsletter signups. If you subscribe, we keep your email address and the date you subscribed. We never share or sell this list.
- Contact form submissions. When you message us, we keep your name, email and the message itself for up to two years so we can respond and refer back to the conversation.
- Comments. Comments are currently closed across the site. We don’t store comment data.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request data such as IP address, user agent string, timestamp and the URL requested. This helps us diagnose technical issues. These logs are typically rotated out within 60 days.
- Analytics. We use privacy-respecting analytics that record aggregated, non-personal data: pages viewed, country, device type, referrer. No cookies are dropped for tracking individual visitors.
- Cookies. We use only essential cookies (for things like remembering whether you have dismissed a notice). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers.
Why we collect it
- To send our newsletter to people who have asked for it.
- To respond to your direct messages.
- To understand which guides are most useful, so we can prioritise updating them.
- To keep the site running technically.
How we share it
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the site: our hosting company, our newsletter delivery platform, our analytics provider. We do not share data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe. Every newsletter has a one-click unsubscribe link. We honour it immediately.
- Delete your data. Email [email protected] and we’ll remove any information we hold about you, usually within seven working days.
- Access your data. You can request a copy of any information we hold by emailing the same address.
Children
The journal is intended for adult readers. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe we have, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves. When we make a meaningful change, we will note it here and update the date at the top of the page.
